Dr Thomas Smith MBBS DPhil FRCA FAsMA
Thomas Smith is a clinician-scientist specialising in cardiopulmonary and aerospace physiology and anaesthetics. He is Head of Aerospace Physiology at King’s College London, where he leads a master’s programme in space physiology in collaboration with the European Space Agency’s Astronaut Centre. He graduated from medicine at the University of Adelaide, Australia, and was based at the University of Oxford (2003-2017) before moving to King's. He has broad experience in aeromedical critical care and is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
